Steve Huison, one the founder members of Shoestring, has recently been playing the part of Eddie Windass in ITV’s Coronation Street. Whilst there he came up with idea to raise some funds to help keep the Hospital To Home project running.
Steve has drawn a set of 20 large charcoal portraits of some of the actors appearing in the popular TV soap including a self-portrait. Each portrait contains autobiographical information about the actor, which has been carefully placed around the profile of the subject. These were recently exhibited at the Contemporary Six Gallery in Manchester in an exhibition entitled Actor’s Profiles. After the exhibition they were all auctioned off and the money raised was donated to the project.
Steve has had produced a limited edition of 100 prints of each portrait. These are now for sale and the money raised will go to help sustain the Hospital To Home project.
The prints are 594mm x 840mm. Printed on a durable PVC material with a matt finish, they are guaranteed more hardwearing than paper and three times less likely to fade in direct light.
Each print is individually numbered and signed by Steve.
They are priced at £50 each inc p+p or a full set of 20 for £900.
These are a must for any Coronation Street fan or art collector.
